The purpose of using a flood diaphragm is to cut off the contact of the fluid with a special feature of the equipment because it will damage the equipment.
Assume the fluid is corrosive. If this fluid is not disconnected from the equipment, it will damage the pressure gauge or transmitter.
In cases such as expensive services on top, such as adhesive bitumen, a flood diaphragm should be used.
Other uses of diaphragms include refrigeration fluids as well as fluids with high sedimentation.
But it should be noted that flood diaphragm repair and maintenance is important.
It may be necessary to flush the flood diaphragm with warm water, salt, or xylene once every 6 months.
 One of the accessories that is installed next to the flood diaphragm is the flash ring.
The flash rings along with the diaphragm of the seals prevent the sensor of the measuring device from becoming heavy due to the fluid being rubbed into it.
The flash rings are located between the process flange and the seal diaphragm and usually have a flange or wafer connection.
